Control qualifies under the “every frame a painting,” category, which is a rarity. Gonna mention season 2 of Arcane, since I only just finally caught up.

The ashtray maze is one of those sequences that sticks with you. Like the dune buggy run in Half-Life 2, the escape from Wheatley in Portal 2, Reaper vs. Thresher Maw in Mass Effect 3 (less so any action on the part of the player, but goosebumps all the same), and the intro mission from Doom 2016.

Fucking hell. There’s a memory unlocked. Also can’t remember the name, but yeah, that one.
