Sounds like an excellent idea! If you ever get tired of swapping, an USB capture card is a lot cheaper than a new GPU with current prices. Good luck!

That’s tight fit. If you really need the two capture cards then that’s the room you’ve got to work with. If you can bring it down to just one card at the top that would be a lot better. I personally use a capture card that’s connected using USB3, which works very well and doesn’t require room inside the computer (even though I would have room).
Most videocards have two or three fans on the bottom these days, with such a tight fit one of the fans can easily collide with the capture card. And even when it doesn’t it will have a hard time sucking in air from there. You can try and find a blower type card, but that would be a bit harder to find.
And you wouldn’t happen to have a GPU inside the CPU? Because the iGPUs from AMD are very solid if you don’t need much in terms of performance (easily faster than the 1030 you mentioned). Otherwise two capture cards and a GPU is a big ask in such a small case.

The A series is pretty limited, I would go for a B series if you can find it. But keep in mind drivers for Intel on Windows are terrible and on Linux even worse. So that would not be a good time.
There’s plenty of cards that would fit in 40mm, but your airflow would be pretty bad. Do you have a pic of the inside of your system? There has to be a way to make something more fit.
But most 6600, 7600 and 9060 cards should be able to fit in 40mm. And with AMD the drivers on Linux are very good.

Look for second hand stuff and something like a 6000 series from AMD. Don’t buy cheap videocards new, they always suck.

Oof, that’s a terrible card. The GP108 chip is a rebatched mobile card Geforce MX 150, it’s a pretty ancient chip at this point. There are no drivers for it, so you’ll need to use older drivers or limited open source drivers. Unless you got it very very cheap that’s not going to work very well for you. It’s newer than a GT 220, but not by much.

I think the one I have is 41mm, so that would be a tight fit. Can’t you rearrange the cards a bit to make some room? With only 40mm that would be hard to fit in any modern card.

Yeah I have a RX 7600. It wasn’t brand new, but lightly used, bought it off a friend who upgraded. Paid around $200 for it, so I think a pretty good deal with current pricing.

Yeah get a simple but recent AMD card, older cards, especially nVidia are a nightmare. I had an old 980 TI which was a really good card still, but I couldn’t use it anymore because everything kept breaking. So I got me a recent AMD card and it has been running perfectly.
This game is disappointing to be honest. I played it years ago, did about 40 hours without mods and then another 40 with mods. It had so much potential but was lacking some major QoL and basic stuff. I did gave it a good chance and with a ton of mods it was kinda fun, but it felt like I needed to work at it to make it fun.
Years later and basic stuff isn’t fixed. The development has been slow for years and nothing got fixed people complained about. I heard that development was completely stopped and the game abandoned, so I was surprised to see it released as 1.0. But from the looks of it, it’s just a 1.0 badge slapped on and not actually a fully cooked end result.
People still have a lot of fun with it, but playing this without mods is pretty oof.

Nah it’s probably just certain clubs and perhaps even a regional thing. I know people who golf that are perfectly normal. It’s just something fun to do, be out in nature, shoot the shit with friends and have a nice game among friends. They don’t take it very seriously at all.
I went with them once and it was a fun time. The golf course we went to wasn’t some kind of weird exclusive rich people club. Just a nice golf course with a rental place for equipment for visitors and a good restaurant/bar for lunch, drinks and dinner. We stayed for dinner and it was a good time. The golf course was full of regular folk having fun. There were no golf carts on this property, people just walked.
We were behind a group of girls who weren’t very good and spent more time doing selfies and filming than actually playing the game. They had 7 people, which the course normally doesn’t allow, but the management said they thought it wouldn’t be that busy that day so allowed it. Normally they allow 4 people max, maybe 5 as an exception. Otherwise they need to split up as to not block a hole too long causing a line to form behind them. We opted to skip the hole they were on, so we would be in front of them and didn’t have to wait all the time. The girls had enough by lunchtime and spent the rest of the day taking selfies at the bar. So we backtracked and did the hole we missed.
It was really fun, I was just very bad at it. My drives were very good, but my putting was awful. I only had mini-golf experience, so I thought it would be the other way around. But putting on an actual green with a real putter is something completely different from mini-golf it turns out.

As well as the weird dark blob where a detail is added in the “final” result. Why would the blob be there? Unless they started with the “final” result and painted it over to get to the “previous” step.
That and the mangled udders clearly scream AI to me. The original clearly has 4 rockets intended to look like udders. But because of the perspective two of them seem to overlap. So the AI just combined them into one, with a sort of double output? This makes no sense, that’s not how rockets work and that’s not how udders look. It is exactly how AI works tho.

Yeah except this is a tiny little plane and a 737 is huge. So those comparisons don’t make much sense.
I still have PTSD from 25 years ago when I killed two snails. I feel terrible about it.
I was on holiday with my first wife in France. We had this beautiful little cottage in the countryside. We went to bed at night and I wanted to close the shutters on the window, so we wouldn’t get waken up at the crack of dawn. But I noticed two large snails sitting on the windowsill outside.
They would be crushed if I closed the shutters. So I did this trick I learnt where I tapped on their shells with the tip of my finger. That tricked them into retreating into the shell. Then I gently applied force to get them off, waiting till they released themselves as to not hurt them.
I set them down on the side, waiting for them to get a grip. Once they were firmly in place I let go and checked they were doing alright. They started crawling away and I was satisfied I could safely close the shutters without harming them. After having done so, I got a good night sleep, perhaps the last good night sleep for the rest of my life.
The next morning I went to open the shutters, to let in the light and some fresh morning air. As I opened the shutters I heard this terrible crunching sound. I was absolutely shocked and my wife put her hand in front of her mouth, pointed at me and yelled: “SNAIL KILLER!”. As I slowly opened the shutters I found that indeed the snails had crawled back to a place in front of the shutters. As I opened the shutters, the snails were completely crushed leaving nothing but a sad pile of sadness.
Obviously I didn’t close the shutters for the rest of the stay. I still feel terrible to this day I failed my small fragile gooey friends. I try to make my garden as inviting as possible for all kinds of animals. And I don’t get a lot of snails, but there are a lot of other small and large critters. The God of Snails probably warns them to stay away, which is understandable.
I’m sorry snail friends, I’ll do better in the future.

That’s one of the things that frustrates me most about this whole AI thing. I fucking hate it and I want it to die, I wish it were never created in the first place. But from a tech enthusiast and a maths nerd point of view, it is super interesting.
Like the performance of these models is shit compared to a real person doing actual work. But if we think about what we are doing on a basic level, the performance is way beyond what I would expect it to be. I wouldn’t expect it to be able to form a coherent sentence or scale as well as it does (even though the resources required to run these is still very high).
It could have been really cool shit people did studies on and played around with to explore the math. Cool little play models we could let go on a bunch of data and see what it did and how. Something for a small group of nerds and experts who are into that kind of thing, for the sake of learning and nothing else.
But no, somehow it got transmorphed into “AI”. And marketed like this actual learning almost sentient computer system that can replace all workers. You can ask it anything and it will give PhD level expert answers. Oh and it’s run by a handful of the most vile men imaginable who pour all of the world’s money and resources into it, all so they get to be god emperor of the world. Fucking terrible.

CEVA serves a lot of companies, so it isn’t just Steam, it’s a lot of them. I’ve gotten 2 mails like this related to CEVA recently.
Be sure to ask it to put you in another time stream or something. Otherwise going back and forward in time does nothing, as going back also rolls back your memory of the future and going forward is just our normal experience every day. Pausing would be bad, since you would not be able to unpause (as you are paused yourself). But even if it were paused and then resumed after something indeterminate happens, you would not have experienced that pause (nor would anything else in the universe), so it might as well not have happened.
You need to be way more precise with your wording, intent and requirements. And then the genie still screws you over, that’s kinda the point of the genie figure in myths.
