Privatizing anything in the west leads to paying more for less and worse service. Always. I don’t even know if there is an exception to that rule.
The sole exception was local trash pickup if I am not mistaken. But even then there was so much competition at one point that they just go in one another’s way.
yeah alright sure: maybe SOME people will get hurt and SOME people will die, I get it. But now just imagine, if you will: the fabulous wealth and PROFIT generated for our shareholder and stakeholders by exactly just such a scenario! People, (human beings that is) are replaceable, quarterly earnings reports are NOT!!
All we need is a bit of election fraud here, some regulatory capture there and… voila! As long as the long term profits (for a few) out pace the short term investment(everyone else), than who cares?!
