Usually I am sympathetic towards people losing their jobs. However, that goes out the window when their government is hostile and I am watching family struggle due to the trade war.

To the Americans crying about how unfair we’re being by celebrating their economic loss and how “what are we supposed to do about our administration?”

Now you know a fraction of how every person in a country under US sanctions feels. The exact logic you’re railing against is the same logic your country applies to Cuba.

The difference being those people have to deal with the immiserstion of brutal poverty and you just have to deal with having to find a new job and some mean Canadians online poking fun at you. Cry me a river.

Republicans are part of the two-party duopoly. voting for a so-called third party is not voting for either of those parties.

It’s fptp, third parties are fundamentally nonviable in the overwhelming majority of places. It is functionally impossible for a third party to win the presidency. Due to gerrymandering and the spoiler effect most third party votes help Republicans get elected. Vote for Dems oyn the general and vote for the most progressive candidates available in the primaries. That’s the only actual way in the current political system to effect progressive change at the federal level, by tea partying the Dems leftward. Anything else gets republicans elected. But on the other hand the fascism has come too far for elections to fix it any more, so there you go.

The people who voted for the Dumpster at least managed to take the most basic, simple first step in starting to fulfill their civic duty. I don’t know if I can bring myself to laud that, but I’ve certainly no credit to award those who didn’t even vote at all.

If so much as 10% of the nation is engaged and has so much as a spark of competence yet cannot bear to vote Democrat, where did all the 3rd-party and off-ballot votes go? Why are those still practically a rounding error, hovering around 2% every year but 2016?

Those who didn’t vote at all ought to feel the most shame, because the laziness of abdicating all personal responsibility doesn’t offer half the emotional shielding that idiocy does.

How are you unable to see that not at all the same? They’re using facts to show one country has done a LOT of bad towards the whole world, soecific countries even more so. That in no way is “strongly partial to one’s own group, religion, race, or politics”, it’s them being with all of the world other than the country in question who has objectively done the bad things. And it’s absolutely not “intolerant of those who differ”. It’s clear from your comments that you’re a brainwashed idiot but you clearly also have problems comprehending simple words.

But by your own definition of bigotry there’s none of that to be found in this thread. Sure, you could construe an intolerance of people from the US (even though it’s more like intolerance of their many years of harmful bullshit) but there’s absolutely no partiality toward any group. It’s purely frustration at the US and many of its citizens’ stubborn unwillingness to own up to the countless problems their country has caused across generations, let alone right now.

Ever heard of realpolitik? Being righteous doesn’t matter on a geopolitical scale, especially not when it comes to an imperial superpower currently in the midst of its death throes. I’m afraid you’ll have to come to terms with billions of people understandably revelling in hundreds of years of a country’s utter nonsense finally returning itself to sender. Might be irrational, but it’s definitely not without precedent.

You don’t gotta do shit, just don’t be a bitch about people laughing at you for the same shit y’all laughed at everyone else for.

And yea I know it’s not YOU it’s your country.

This is exactly the same behavior as when men come out of the wood work and say “I’m not like that” when people start taking about toxic masculinity and shit.

It’s not all Americans but it’s always an American.

A moronic, false thing to say and no I won’t be starting even after this display of widespread assholry though. I actually appreciate it though, my blocklist and user tags are in a much better spot after this thread.
