The Trump administration has been secretly plotting to gift a portion of Yosemite National Park to a private developer, a new report claims.

The eyebrow-raising deal, which prior administrations rejected, would award a sliver of the iconic national park to a developer to pave a private road through the park that would likely spike the value of the developer’s nearby property, insiders tell NOTUS.

    Californian here.

Getting pretty tired of supporting fascists, pedos, and welfare red states with our tax money.

We’re basically our own country. Maybe we should start acting like it.

I really think that the states/governors that are willing to resist the Feds should start talking together. I think it is obvious to say, the federal government has been compromised by bad actors and have abrogated the role of uniting the people and serving the states. They are instead serving themselves, oligarchs and foreign advesaries.

He said he was gonna do this shit, and he’s doing it. Expect more to come. Private developers have priority over everything else, and congress will do nothing to stop this because many are paid by the same people who have enough money to buy immunity from consequences. No state can interfere because it’s federal land, and courts will only delay temporarily while construction begins until it’s “too late” to stop. The only way to stop it is if potential buyers and investors believe that some harm will come to them for participating.

That exactly what needs to happen. We need another Luigi. I have not been to the park want to but by time I can there is a chance it be privately owned and be private use by the rich.

If there was a meaningful way to unionize construction workers so that blatantly unethical projects like this and data centers wouldn’t be carried out it might stop some of them but that requires a lot of political capital. They seem to like building places that enjoy excluding people like them, even when it’s public land and resources being used.
