Set it up so it is easier to start after you finish something else or while waiting for something else. Eg writing an email I don’t want to write. Open it on a different monitor than a game. In between matches type anything on it. Sometimes I get going well enough I just exit the queue.

I do that with left alt. Then I can use caps as control to move around 1 word
I use right alt for escape
If I need to type all caps I just hold shift. Having control right on your pinky is so much more useful. I never miss capslock

If you are considering moving in with them bear in mind what it will do to your career
