The gitlab discussion was opened by graham in order to implement some restrictions on AI use to help the maintainers with low-effort slop PRs. Unfortunately it completely derailed.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a book or film that you're glad you experienced, but would never recommend?
5·15 days agoStalker (1979) for me. Russian scifi/thriller/poetry recital. I would put in a category of interesting movies, but not entertaining.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Bottles' Founder Has Managed to Run Microsoft 365 on Linux
2·20 days agoYeah. I have chromium installed to use teams as a PWA. Works ok, not great, but that might also be because teams is crap
That’s in the Linux staging tree, where they have banned ai contribution for exactly that reason.

Linux@lemmy.ml•I'm planning to build a Linux gaming PC. Any suggestions?
0·1 month agoApart from other things said here (e.g. AMD GPU), if you are planning on using wifi check that the adapter works well. Intel wifi usually works very well on Linux (although I have read that there are some issues with their newer wifi chips). AMD mobos usually use some kind of mediatek chipset. It might be better supported now, but I ended up replacing mine with another m.2 wifi (intel ax200).
A quick search for general support from the mobo vendor is probably a good idea too.
There’s literally no change to their policy. They opened a discussion about stricter policy for PRs, but it got derailed by a few non-devs. That’s my understanding of it at least.
