I think it boils down to a lot of frustration on our part. Every time he threatens us or another ally everyone says how sorry they are, but nothing comes of it and it just keeps happening.

From what I understand Canada doesn’t produce many value added products. We sell lots of dimensional lumber and crude oil, but not much gasoline and furniture. We even started selling whole logs, to be produced in China and elsewhere.

They thought we’d be so desperate to sign a deal to avoid tariffs that we’d just sign whatever the asked at the 11th hour.

For a guy who was voted in to stand up to Trump, he really seems to be doing a lot of appeasement.

Disappointed, but not surprised. I’m going to have to just double down on boycotting more.

We really need to make it easier to buy Canadian booze from other parts of Canada. I’ve been picking up a different bottle of whiskey every time I go, but there’s always a piss poor selection from anywhere other than my province. I also don’t drink too much, so a bottle lasts quite a while, but still.
