But that’s literally not true, there were more games with official Linux support than there are now before Proton launched.

But that’s literally not true, there were more games with official Linux support than there are now before Proton launched.

In the couple of years before Proton took off games with Linux support was at an all time high, companies like Aspyr and Feryl Interactive helped studios port their game.
Proton has killed off official Linux support and the industry around it for better or for worse.

It’s based on the popular mod King of thr Hill in ARMA 3 and Reforger. 3 teams compete for a single domination area which also includes a bonus hot zone that slowly moves inside the area.
Maps are vast and vehical drop offs are required, lends itself to a sandboxy style of combat.
It stands out as you have persistent progression with in-game currency to buy and build your loadouts and vehicals, it’s more focussed than normal Tactical FPS games, and more fluid in gameplay, buy not as zippy as games like Battlefield and CoD

I’ve been getting excited for Wardogs, the last playtest was working nicely with Linux, but they’ve just started a beta test and have disabled Linux access which is a huge shame.
So I’ve been playing ARMA 3 & Reforger with the King of thr Hill mod, this is the inspiration behind Wardogs and it’s really bringing me back those old school FPS days I’m loving it
That’s not what you said though, you said Linux users would be no customer at all, that was never true.
Proton made the responsibility for support change from the Developers to Valve, and meant that Developers no longer cared to support Linux directly.
Be that good or bad or whatever.
