In the UK women are legally equal.
Trans women in the UK are not even close to legally equal, and that’s just the first group that popped into my head. Imagine how many more women might not actually have equal rights.
I think there’s probably no such thing as womens problems or mens problems. Only human problems that bounce around and affect everyone.
To your point, yes absolutely these issues affect us all, because we’re all connected as humans. But you might want to reconsider how you phrase that. This has big “I don’t see color” energy.
Both men and women absolutely have unique and specific issues that need recognition if we are to meaningfully address them.

As others have said, at this point you don’t have a whole lot of choice; you pretty much have to use what the school provides you.
BUT, what you can do is try to rally other students to your cause. You pay the university, which means that students in numbers have influence over how the the university operates. I think your best chance to enact change is to create a petition to get the university to change to a more privacy-friendly alternative, and put together a proposal on how google and microsoft are harmful, and why your proposed alternative is better.
