I’ve heard it is possible to put a virus even into an image, and I might actually be a victim of such an attack… But yeah, it is extremely rare

2·5 days agoThanks! I do have a VPS. Can amnezia or wstunnel be used with headscale? That’d be amazing

1·5 days agoTor is slow and… also blocked here 😁
I know of many working VPN protocols but I don’t know how to use them to route traffic through an intermediary VPS (bc my home server is behind a NAT)

3·6 days agoYes, I’ve tried that, but it’s not robust enough. This is what I’ll eventually resort to, if I don’t find a better solution.

1·6 days agoWell you’d still depend on someone else’s will to provide you with robust and uncensored internet connection. The actual solution is to build a decentralised people-owned network using Reticulum for example. Reticulum over WiFi HaLow already works very well for small-scale local networks.

2·6 days agoYes it’s what I use for normal VPN, but I need to get around the NAT somehow. There’s been a PR for NetBird that implements AWG but it was never merged

2·6 days agoWow, wstunnel seems to be a very elegant solution, thanks! However I still need to figure out how to get to my server behind a NAT

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is it just me or i feel life is getting more difficult these days?
3·10 days agoI think this is due to increased alienation. We’ve become more isolated and distanced from one another and, more importantly, more distanced from our own creative self. This is what happens when production is largely automated but humans are still involved - we turn into small faceless gears in a big mechanism.

I’ve always wanted to be a free creative person, inventing or just making things in different fields and I am such a person now, though not as free as I’d like to be…
