As someone who currently lives in Texas, I care a little about Texas.
Woke means “aware of systemic inequality”. It’s been part of the English language for a hundred years, and the definition hasn’t shifted much.
When a Republican says they’re “anti-woke”, they mean that they are in favor of hiding systemic inequality, because they want to preserve it. They’re usually using the word correctly, even though they’ve failed to define it explicitly.
I’ve heard people describe games like this as “Metroidbrainias”, which is the dumbest name ever, but the point is that it’s a game where progress is blocked not just by obtaining in-game power-ups, but by learning how to use abilities that you already possess at the beginning of the game. The player is the one who levels up. I love that.
Hold on. If everyone starts having 1000x more thoughts, then they’ll have to start engineering solutions to that.
It’s like when people started pretending they were “gluten sensitive”. Yeah it’s phony, but people with celiac have a lot more options now because of it.
I mean I’m not connecting my brain to any cloud, but maybe a local server and now there’s open source software to organize my mind?
