From the complainers, it’s very uneven. Lots of walking to get one-shot by snipers.

Good players smurf on lowbies all the time. That’s unfair, but you don’t see them complaining about it.
I’d think reminding them what it’s like on the receiving end, while unfair to them, kinda evens it out a bit.
But that’s just me being petty.

True, only works if they hold the servers. And the pick your poison scramble does make it difficult to consider one’s options.
I’d have the semblance of a thought on an idea, but it’s kinda unfair to players. It would mean to mark those with high stats (pinpoint hits, low to no misses) and make them “stars”, as in bring the visibility on their hits and let the players decide.
But yeah, it’s a pain.

Introducing proper matchmaking, which isn’t rigged to encourage dark patterns.
Non-obvious cheaters will end up playing against others like them or actually good players, in which case they either become obvious cheaters or stop being a problem.

Linux presents an even worse situation. Because users can custom-build the OS kernel, embedding a cheat directly into the kernel and compiling it makes it nearly impossible for a game to detect its existence. “How do you detect that?”
Server-side control and you won’t need to? Or am I missing something here?

I liked it well enough. It’s a mix of open maps and linear corridors. It still uses morality points for good/bad ending. It’s like Dishonored in that. The intermission scenes are not cinematics, so they can’t all be really skipped. It’s all together kinda telling you to chill.
I only played on normal, so there weren’t many issues with difficulty, more so if you stealth your way through it, and you can see there’s an intended way of participating in the story even though the player has some freedom.
Have to mention, I played the enhanced version because I didn’t really under the difference from regular one. And on the first run, it takes a very long time to compile shaders, so if the extra graphics don’t matter, the non-enhanced version is reportedly the same.

Dunno. Finished Metro Exodus in the weekend and now I’m thinking on where to go next.
They added OpenMW and Tamriel Rebuilt on GOG, so I might give Morrowind another go. But I’m not into lengthy endeavors anymore…
Unleavened bread, extra thick. Tastes great in the right conditions, but I wouldn’t recommend it long-term.

The early demo was reviewed as such. Dunno how much soul they added since.
Stage coach robbery.
I believe most intelligence organizations dread sharing info, like they have a natural aversion to that notion.
