This feels like motion smoothing on TVs. It’s super unclear why manufacturers put it on since the first thing any sain person does is turn it off. This feels like something similar, I suspect most gamers are just going to turn it off rather than leave it on and buy better hardware especially at the moment.
To be clear there is a difference between pre-rendered cut scenes and in game cut scenes. I’m pretty sure everything we saw, and have seen so far, has all been in game cut scenes.
But still I suspect that the game won’t be the same quality out of cutscenes as it is in cut scenes. Most games actually have two different character models depending on if you’re using it for gameplay or cut scenes, and it’s how GTA IV did it.
I guess that’s just a lot of hydrogen in a container?
Well it would be difficult for it to look like any other game it’s not like they’re going to add puzzle elements. But it does seem to be a bit more realistic, it looks like you won’t be able to just shoot the cops and then go hide underground in the train network, so that’s a fairly major departure from traditional gameplay.
Do they actually call it H20? That’s so stupid.
I was so annoyed by the Stanley cup thing because it’s a really cool design, I would have been onboard with it if it hadn’t been so expensive and become a meme fad
After No Mans Sky I swore off pre orders. I know they fixed it but still.
I get some of the very well deserved hate for Rockstar but come on, it’s one of the best looking games this year, and the fact it looks like that on, an apparently baseline, PS5 is nuts.
In a few years when they port it to PC and we we can throw it at a high end graphics card, it’s going to look like real life. And it’s clear that there is more then just graphics here.
Mind you, I have no idea how they are going to handle the online mode as GTAO was terrible. I hope they do better with that.
I’ve literally only just got a pc capable of playing cyberpunk so thank you for the mod list. - I won’t dare, I never live down the mocking from my girlfriend.
I wonder if that’s why Rockstar haven’t put in female playable characters from now. I don’t think there was any in Ballad Of Gay Tony, I know there wasn’t in IV main game.
Apple make good hardware, their software is awful. It’s really annoying because I really want a time of flight sensor on my phone so I can do some 3D scanning but I’ll have to put up with apples awful operating system that won’t talk to any computer that isn’t a Mac
It’s Rockstar if they really care they could put their foot down, they have the cred to get whatever they want.
Yeah when they release it for the ps6
Well it’s releasing on the PS5 so it would be pretty dumb if it doesn’t actually work on the PS5. Anyway what the mostly showed was cut scenes and they are easy to optimize because anything that’s literally not on screen can just be unloaded.

Experience navigators with some basic tools often ended up hundreds and hundreds of miles off course because they had no reference points. If you’re navigation system is landmarks plus a sextant then it’s not going to be very accurate.
When you’re trying to transit the ocean one nautical miles worth of accuracy isn’t bad, especially if the alternative is to use a potentially compromised GPS or a 15th century navigation tool.

It’s a bit obvious that isn’t it. Hey captain there appears to be a ship with a giant boulder on board and it’s following us around, do you think that might be relevant?

The fact that it lies is so irritating, if it at least admitted that it didn’t know the answer it would at least be a useful search engine. The fact that it makes stuff up though means I always have to scroll past the AI summary, that I didn’t ask for, in order to actually go to the website to check the results myself, because I can’t trust it.

Yeah because it was impossible to Google things in the past. Every time anybody comes up with a use for AI it’s basically just automating something that isn’t even that hard for you to do. If you want to automate simple tasks that’s absolutely fine but it’s not the second coming as people keep insisting.
Come back to me when an AI can actually add value to something, when it can do something that is not just automating a simple task, but it’s capable of doing things that humans are not. I keep being told that we’re only a few years away from the technological singularity, so wake me up when we actually get there.

It’s an expensive toy that might become a viable product in a decade that doesn’t mean it’s a valuable company today. Irresponsible spending like this is exactly what led to the dot com bubble.
I just can’t get over the idea of characters looking like that but at the same time still glitching out in the traditional Skyrim manner.
You know where their heads get stuck in doors and their neck stretches out as they walk across the room.
Why has it chosen to preserve of all things skyrim’s weird eye texture?
