This guy is complete trash. Does excessive coding rip holes into people’s brains?

That’s fucking delicious. I am so not surprised that people who focus only on aesthetics (by that I mean those behind omarchy and hyprland) would fuck up the most basic things where substance has any importance. Aesthetics is for idiots! I will never want the Linux desktop to take over because of coolness, I want the software that attacks important questions to take over. These reactionaries have proven themselves to be utterly incompetent once again, and they will continue to prove their incompetence because they all lack insight and think of themselves as being god’s chosen ones.

3·2 days agoPurchase pre-LLM era physical books on foraging, cooking, home and auto repair, electronics, child care, etc.
Get E-books released right around 2022 (but not after) on Anna’s Archive if your money is low. It’s important that the info is somewhat fresh. A lot has changed since the 1980s

1·2 days agoSource? And if that is the case, the developing that’s been done has been in a useful direction. I honestly don’t understand how Hyprland, which will always be niche if there are no fundamental additions made to it, is getting a ton of money while Asahi is still stuck at Apple M 2 chips.

1·3 days agoLook, all developed countries, with only a few exceptions, experience declining fertility. This lack is partially made up for up by immigration. However it’s not occurring at a rate that creates strain on the systems you have mentioned. Numbers are indeed still declining, albeit slowly.
This leaves us with a very different sort of structural change. If target countries are not bursting at their seams – which I would argue is ostensible, then why is there a supply-side issue in regards to basic services? Could it be that, for example, deskilling and austerity measures have something to do with this? I leave it up for you to determine cause and effect.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Omarchy Linux Just Got $8 Million From Tech's Biggest Names
3·3 days agoThis is a non-sequitur. Israel is a colonial project forced upon the Levant by Britain and the US. The places crying most about immigration have historically been the most egregious colonisers. Man made climate change is scientifically well-established, the concept of human races along with the idea that some groups of h. sapiens are by virtue of geographical origin deleterious to another, are both misconceptions.
Scientists don’t oppose climate change because it goes against a state of nature, they oppose it because it very concretely threatens livelihoods, which can not be said about immigration.
