“two orders of shrimp on a bigger stick, please, but can you put the shrimp on the small stick instead?”

Having gotten some Temu clothing as gifts, there are two main materials I’ve seen. One feels very much like a rough cotton, like the material harem pants are made of, and is mainly in the shorts/pants I’ve gotten. It’s a cotton poly blend, and one is the material of the shirts. They’re super stretchy and elastic, like a spandex almost. The pants and shorts end up with holes quickly as they rip near (but not on) the seams, and the shirts seem to actually last even if snagged because of how stretchy they are.
I wouldn’t advise buying from them or anything, just saying that they’re not exactly single use.

This is how I ended up with my best friend/adopted brother/soul friend. We worked together, shift work, security. At the end of my shift, he’d come in about 20 minutes early, and I’d leave about 20 minutes late.
Eventually this morphed to us getting there about about an hour early, the other staying sometimes 4 hours late.
Finally we were just like “so, uh, we doing this or not? We gonna be friends?” And, yeah, turns out we were.
I am so frequently reminded that not everyone got an amazing parent like I had, and even my less amazing, drug using parent, was never the type I hear about so often. I’m so sorry the world is an unkind as it is, especially to kids. Y’all deserve and deserved better <3
