I have a feeling there’s a point in time where most non-it self-hosters got fed up with ads and installed pihole, then learned about DNS. I have a feeling that started about five years ago.

Now it’s probably hand in hand with how necessary a pihole is.

Seriously, it’s like a middle school writing assignment to reach 5 pages, but worse.

I can tell the difference between nvme and sata when booting and loading applications. It’s so small that I’m happy to remain a cheap ass. I also went to college in the “turn on your computer, then go make breakfast” days, so I guess I’m more tolerant of it.
