To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand xkcd. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also blackhats nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from early internet forums, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE.

2·14 days agoI see them as basically ring doorbell cameras on wheels (though wonder if I should instead consider them like flock cameras on wheels).
Considering flock and ring worked together before and sell the same product, just to different customers, I wouldn’t bother differentiating.

1·2 years agoWell, apart from the free movement of people and goods, the common currency, the gdpr, the international students and the consumer protection what has the EU ever done for us?
Brought peace.
Uh peace, shut up.

Top performing sprinters accelerate faster that 1g, so slightly increasing the gravity would probably make them faster on very short distances.
For long distances it would probably be some low gravity jumping limited by the relative speed between foot and torso that you can create before touching the ground and decelerate before overextending the leg.
