As someone who’s spent a lot of time on Cities Skyline 2 recently, I’d argue it’s gotten a lot better. They have new devs that are actively working on fixing the game and I’ve had almost no bugs compared to 2 or 3 years ago. Would recommend giving it another chance

Is anyone else experiencing slowness and sometimes freezing after updating? This is mostly happening when I go to my home screen, and the server CPU load spikes.
Garlic is understandable, I use a shit ton… But if it’s an “extract” it’s definitely getting measured. Maybe I’m just picky about my baked goods.
I mean if you’re wanting features, go for the first with DLC (2nd one includes some of the 1sts DLC in base game but does leave some stuff out…) But I enjoy the road building more than the first, and the tax system makes the city feel more in your control (in regards to what businesses you want running). I also personally like the interface more and the overall simulation of pops seems improved from the 1st.
Most of the issues I had at release were weird bugs with certain commercial sectors not making any money, and homeless people crowding the streets, but my last playthrough which went up to Milestone 20, I had no bugs or issues that made me annoyed with the game.
The latest dev blogs actually make it sound like they’re doing something, so the hype of that could be affecting my opinion a bit.
