Seems a bit of oversimplification. Even in the districts of “The Squad” elected Trump. AOC asked her constituents why they elected Trump, a lot of it is more like protest votes on the neoliberal Democrats and failure to address the cost of living crisis. Part of me wants to let the fascists do whatever the fuck because whatever they want to do is clearly a waste of time and resources persecuting a tiny minority of population that have little consequences in the lives of the fascists to begin with. Wasting time and resources means they will eventually and quickly run out of those and therefore lose power. They run on emotions rather than with reason. But on the one hand, a lot of innocent will get hurt in the process.
