They obviously dont value us as customers, so I say dont give them business

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Both Microsoft and Sony say they're under no obligation to pass tariff refunds on to customersEnglish
8·15 days agoI believe UPS and FedEx are required to make refunds as people were explicitly charged tariff related fees.
Because Sony and Microsoft just baked the price in, its a little hard to get them to refund since theres technically nothing to refund (as shady and fucked up and goodwill burning as it is).

PC Gaming@lemmy.ca•Bethesda Dev Says Cuts Were Rare Before Xbox Took Over: 'All Of A Sudden We Have Yearly Layoffs'English
1·1 month agoAlso just the AAA experience - its a boom and bust cycle: hire people, work them to death for release, and then lay them off after so the numbers look real good
Such a stupid cycle - you’d think retaining experienced developers would be more efficient…
Imagine having a dedicated work force that wasn’t fighting to put food in the table or navigate whether they have healthcare.
Like… you’re done developing Halo Campaign Evolved and now you need to immediately fix uo your resume and start interviewing (fuck your doctors appointment next month) - instead of working on a new game. What a waste of everyone’s energy
