Everything else about Flock (ALPRs in general) aside, the AI frequently reads the plate wrong. We’ve only heard of a few cases where they pull over the wrong car (and hold people at gunpoint in front of their kids) because their database of stolen cars isn’t that large in the grand scheme of things.

If they start using them for everyday things, it’s going to become quite clear just how often the AI is incorrect when people start getting speeding tickets in the mail for states they’ve never been to.

Last I checked there’s been like 14 similar cases of this. As far as I know, they’ve all retired, or moved agencies.
