Denuvo has asked a California federal court to authorize subpoenas to Valve, Reddit, and Discord to identify “voices38,” an anonymous game cracker accused of circumventing its DRM protection on 26 titles. The company is also investigating cryptocurrency transactions it alleges are linked to the cracker, though it has not disclosed the basis for that connection.
Their “entire business” is selling the public a baseless fear, inventing a social climate that reaches beyond their target market, and then forcing said consumers to deal with their magic solution —that is notorious for fucking up an incredible number of legit customers’ games, if not their PC in the process.
On the other hand, it sure is becoming a hobby to break that fucker open and give it away for free, so there’s that, too. 🤣
