Open-world sci-fi RPG No Law looks like it could rival Cyberpunk 2077, but the developers have found clever ways to make it seem bigger than it is
For those like me who care. Neon Giant have stated a no generative AI policy in the past.
I for one am planning to pick this up.
clever ways to make it seem bigger
I hope they mean more clever than having huge tower blocks but only giving 2 of the 379 rooms openable doors.
Seriously. 2077 gave us all the tools to B&E and steal peoples shit, but then didn’t let us do it.
Seriously, I think mixing in some infinite progressively generated content could have gone a long way with 2077.
But not in an obvious way, like minecraft or other similarly focused games on random worlds. More like, an apartment complex is modeled like they already do, made by hand, just doors to apartments become autogenerated rooms and a room is a simple, autogenerated area with specific variations, and a random enemy now and then, random low level loot now and then.
And now and then it triggers a police response and is more annoying to deal with than the loot you get?
Kind of like GTA 5 where it’s fun to steal random cars and mess around but it’s not the point of the game. Just when you’re bored you play in the sandbox. There could’ve been more of that in 2077, sandbox elements that make you just want to fuck around.
First hearing of it. Looks interesting and the setting is somewhat unique as well.
