    It’s quite literally the law of the sea

    Anyone skippering his vessels knows what they’re signing up for, and should be hung out to dry for this shit

      Yeah it was literally drilled into me as a child that you aid a vessel in distress until the point you would be in distress yourself, provided you are in position to do so. It’s the law certainly, but without highly extenuating circumstances there’s also the matter of serious personal disgrace in my view.

    Zuckerberg wasn’t even on the boat, so I doubt he had anything to do with the decision.

    Also, he seems more like the type to jump at the opportunity to help, then make a huge song and dance about it.

    Bro would literally ignore a child dying next to him, even if all it took to save it was a pat on the back.

    Unless there were cameras, of course. In that case - phenomenal opportunity for good PR.
