          No, a public open beta is public which implies free, open meaning not by invite and beta meaning pre release. An open beta just means not by invite pre release.

        If you’re paying for access to a game, the game is released. Available for purchase.

          Nope. Paid invite betas have been a thing since the early days of mmo’s at the very very least.
