ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Bernalillo County Sheriff’s deputies took a man into custody Wednesday after he showed up outside their headquarters with multiple Flock cameras in the back of his pickup truck.
Authorities arrested Jevon Martinez for damaging Flock cameras in Rio Rancho in May. Then, Wednesday, he posted video on social media appearing to show him driving around Albuquerque and taking down automated license plate readers once again.
In those videos, he comments that since the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office ended its contract with Flock last month, those cameras should no longer be out on the streets.
"Just for the record, I am not stealing these. I am not destroying them. I am simply returning them to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department,” he said in one video.
I’m pretty sure I was in the pub with him at the time…
what cameras, hes collecting them like e-bikes and e-scooters.
Just returning them. Awesome. 🤣
Tax payer dollars, tax payer property.
No crime
He probably voted for trump but in this moment I love his ass. Fucking GOAT
Making up for past mistakes.
Voting for Trump doesn’t make a person a bad person, for many it just means they were duped or pressured, or simply saw the other party as the shittier of shit options. Definitely not an America-only problem.
Giving the praise and bringing back the “Were in this together” comradery is the basis for the US healing and recovering. Like when humanity bands together in an alien invasion movie. Then y’all can go back to squabbling in a few years when times are good again.
Oh you know me I’ll be quirky.
They don’t belong to the Sheriff’s dept…
Hopefully he gets a slap on the wrist.
Doesn’t matter. There’s no intent to permanently deprive if you literally take something to the authorities for disposition which is a key plank of theft. Not criminal mischief if they’re not damaged either. There’s literally no crime they could even charge him with since removing things that aren’t supposed to be there isn’t vandalism.
Don’t quit your day job.
Take it to a jury!
A bold strategy Cotton…
