My only problem is, this requires an online account. Why can’t this work with an offline account? This is the same issue why I don’t use RetroAchievements. Just implement a download trophy list and enable trophies without online requirement would be really nice.
Oh that’s great!
It would have been even better if it was compatible with retroachievements, but I think they were the one refusing to integrate ps3 trophies.
Now I just need something powerful enough to emulate ps3 games as the Steam Deck is only powerful enough for ps2 games.
I played most of Lollipop Chainsaw on RPCS3 on the Steam Deck and it was nearly perfect. Some games will run well, you just have to find out which ones.
For now none of mines was good out of the box, but it’s true they were blockbusters like Killzone, God of War or Uncharted.
RetroAchievements are user developed and managed achievements for systems they don’t have it. The PS3 trophies are those that games officially had them, so there is no need for RetroAchievements (also they work differently). If anything, RetroAchievement could still be implemented with their own way of doing things, independent from trophies. And I think that would be dope too.
Older PS3 games don’t have trophies, so they’d still be a good fit for RA.
Retroachievements isn’t really the right service for this, it was mostly made for consoles that don’t have achievements having them added with user-made sets. It doesn’t really make sense for them to also be hosting consoles that already come with achievement support.
In a way I understand, but it would still be nice to have everything centralized.
I mean emulated PS3 trophies are probably not gonna be on the same account as emulated PS4/5 trophies…
