Mine is that for a surprisingly large amount of people, the threat of punishment in the afterlife is all that’s keeping them from raping and murdering.

This one was on buddy. He gave AI full control over the listing and communications, so of course it gave a buyer the address.
You’d be surprised. In the coms like boringdystopia, latestagecapitalism, and anarchy, the attitude is that there’s absolutely no upside to renting. Every tenant is getting screwed by every landlord.
Didn’t you know? Every landlord is a monster stealing from people who get absolutely no benefit from the arrangement. At least here on Lemmy, that is.
You can tell when people haven’t experienced home ownership before. It’s definitely a “grass is greener” thing, but owning a home is a major pain in the ass in many ways. I actually work with a few people who sold theirs and went back to renting because of it. I’d join them if we didn’t have more pets than the city allows.
The equity thing is always brought up, but any gains you make because of market fluctuations are only good for taking out loans, or making a profit when you go back to renting. The other houses on the market have increased in value along with it. Plus, any maintenance expenses are just keeping your house from losing value.

The discussion was about Apple products not being essential goods. It was not about smart phones in general being essential goods.

Are iPhones the only smart phone that exists?
No, it’s the reality. The organizer does not set reminders.

You’re absolutely correct. Price gouging is when you significantly raise the price of essential goods during an emergency.
Like selling water for $20 a bottle in the aftermath of an earthquake.
Apple products aren’t essential goods.
It’s in the settings, somewhere.
You can also set it to not delete the emails.
The organizer doesn’t set reminders in the first place, except for their own alerts.
Huh? You set your alert preferences, not the organizer.
Increased bloodflow can actually drop the temperature of the limb. For instance, alcohol might make you feel warm, but due to the vasodilation you’re actually losing heat.
I’m basically a werewolf, so I guess I must have great circulation.
Which is weird because my hands and feet are always cold to the touch.

It depends on the ratio of failed to successful, really. If there are hundreds of millions of successful verifications, that’s a fairly low failure rate.
Which GPU? Anything above I think a 10xx has an issue with the shaders the game uses. There’s supposedly a workaround for arch (CachyOS) but I couldn’t get it working.
